Payment Methods~Debit / Credit Card payments

We accept most major credit and debit cards as payment.

To keep our trade prices as low as possible, trade account holders who wish to use credit cards as payment will be subject to a 3% surcharge, debit cards can be used at no extra charge.

Please note this surcharge only applies to trade account holders, and will be collected prior to orders being despatched.


Transaction Security

Security is probably one of the most significant concerns for both Chocolate Buttons and you, our customer during an online transaction. In reality an online transaction is probably more secure than a card transaction in a shop or conducted over the telephone or by fax, as the information transmitted online is highly encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations.

Our shopping cart software if provided by Erol 4.5 e-commerce technology, we have many security features embedded as an assurance of order integrity.

Your personal and purchase details are encapsulated by SecureTrading digital signatures and strong encryption to ensure that all sensitive information is protected throughout a transaction. SecureTradings platform uses SSL 3.0, RC4 with 128 bit encryption (High); RSA with 1024 bit exchange.

Payment System

Security is important when transaction data is flowing across the Internet, and when data is stored on computer systems. SecureTrading is Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards accredited and takes care to ensure that transaction data is safe at all times.

We only use SecureTrading payment systems which offer a flexible and secure e-payment network based on the most advanced technology in the payments industry.

Data storage on SecureTrading systems, and the communication between SecureTrading and the worldwide banking networks, is regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure a secure transaction environment.

Payments via Cheque and Cash

A. Just select the payment option at the checkout,
B. Fill in all the relevant sections on the form.
C. Print off a copy of the order for your reference and then click the send button.
D. Make a note of the Order Reference and quote it with your payment.

Refund Policy~We operate a 7 day money back guarantee policy. We only send out products that are in perfect condition. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the quality of our products please contact us at info@chocolatebuttons.co.uk with details of the problem.We will issue a returns number and address, you can then return the sweets for an exchange or full refund. Items ordered in error will be subject to a 20% restocking charge.
We cannot accept returns that have been tampered with, or opened or any product that is custom made or especially ordered in. All goods remain the property of Chocolate Buttons until full payment has been received

Delivery Schedule

We normally despatch orders received before 12pm for in stock items the same day. Orders are not despatched on Saturday, Sunday or any Public Holidays.
We try and keep our stock levels as accurate as possible, but occasionally there may be times where there is a high demand for a particular item which may result in your order being delayed.

All order are packed in sturdy boxes with protective packaging where required, to ensure they reach you in perfect condition.

Delivery Charges UK Mainland
Cost of delivery includes packaging materials used and packing.
Our Postage and Packaging charges for mainland UK have been kept simple and to an absolute minimum.

Small Orders delivery charge: £3.95
Medium Orders delivery charge: £4.95
Large Orders delivery charge: £5.95

Prices subject to VAT

All UK Mainland Orders are despatched via APC Next Business Day Courier Service

All orders require a signature on delivery.

Courier Service conditions: 1/2 business days to mainland UK, except for the more remote areas of north-west and western Scotland where deliveries will be later.

We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by delivery companies.
We reserve the right to change couriers and service at our discretion

Please Note:
Any damages have to be reported to the delivery company.

Our delivery company will leave a calling card if they are unable to deliver your parcel, please follow the instructions on the calling card and contact your local depot to rearrange delivery/collection within 5 working days. If arrangements for delivery are not completed in 5 working days your parcel will be returned back to Chocolate Buttons; this will incur a returns fee of £15, restocking fee of 20% and a further delivery charge.

Delivery to UK addresses not on the Mainland, including:

Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Scottish Islands.

Delivery charges have been kept to an absolute minimum.
Cost will be dependant on weight, charges can be seen on the checkout page prior to placing your order.




Delivery International

Only orders under 1500g (1.5kg) will be sent via Royal Mail Airmail (restrictions set by Royal Mail).
All orders over 1500g will be sent via International Courier - All parcels will require a signature on delivery.
If you wish to order over 1500g but not pay courier prices for delivery we suggest you make multiple orders. Please note multiple orders will be sent separately and we cannot guarantee they will arrive together.

We do not guarantee delivery times however Royal Mail guidelines for Airmail deliveries to:
Europe is normally 3/4 working days.
Rest of the world normally 5/10 working days.

Cost for deliveries for individual countries can be seen at the check out prior to placing your order.


IMPORTANT USA & CANADA UPDATE: We regret to inform our customers in the USA and Canada we will no longer be able to supply them, this is due to circumstances beyond our control. Recent changes in the US FDA import legislation means every food manufacturer in the World is required to register with the US FDA before any of their products will be accepted as imports. Unfortunately the majority of the manufacturers we use DO NOT supply to the USA and so have not registered. The authorities therefore will not accept shipments from these manufacturers from Chocolate Buttons. We will continue to monitor the situation and will reinstate deliveries to the USA and Canada when possible. We thank all our US and Canadian customers for their custom and support.

Please be aware we have tried to identify in the descriptions any sweets that contain nuts or traces of nuts. However due to manufacturing processes beyond our control we cannot guarantee any product we sell will not contain traces of nuts


Vegetarian

All products we sell that are described by the manufacturer, as gelatine free or suitable for vegetarians will be highlighted as such. Many manufacturers however do not include vegetarian suitability on their products these therefore will NOT be included as suitable for vegetarians in our shop.
